League presents program on preventing juvenile crime

The League of Women Voters of Henderson County will host a program on preventing juvenile crime from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, in the Kaplan Auditorium at the main library, 301 N. Washington St.

“Preventing Juvenile Crime: Everyone’s Concern, Everyone’s Responsibility—Supporting our At-Risk-Youth in Henderson County” will be presented by Henderson County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council Chair Sally Buchholz. The program presents a global look at juvenile crime not only in Henderson County, but also how we compare to other areas. Buchholz will outline what the JCPC goals are and how they work to prevent juveniles from ever entering the system. A review of available services and what people can do to help kids today will also be included.
The event is free and open to the public. LWVHC welcomes all members of our community. For more information, visit  www.lwvhcnc.org.
