A popular elementary school phys-ed teacher and strong advocate for outdoor education and a former Henderson County and western district math teacher of the year will be inducted into the Education Hall of Fame on April 29, the Henderson County Education Foundation announced.

The Hall of Fame class of 2025 inductees, the late Lou Ann Long Morgan and Susan Eckstine Riddle, will be honored at Education Foundation's annual Education Celebration from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Point Lookout Vineyards.

"Their lifelong commitments to education, groundbreaking work, and unwavering belief in the success of every child have left lasting marks on Henderson County Public Schools," the foundation said in a news release.
Since 2003, HCEF has inducted more than 150 individuals, including teachers, administrators, support staff, school board members, and community donors, into the Hall of Fame. The recognition celebrates their profound impact on education in Henderson County and stands as a tribute to their service.
