The Friends of Downtown and city of Hendersonville invite the community to celebrate two exciting events in the heart of downtown on Saturday.
Opening day of the Hendersonville Farmers Market gets started at 8 a.m. and runs through 1 p.m. while the 7th Avenue Street Fest marks the grand reopening of the newly completed streetscape makeover of the historic district.
At the Farmers Market shoppers can browse an incredible selection of fresh local produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and more. Many vendors will stay past market hours to participate in the 7th Avenue Street Fest.
The Market will feature live music by Jacob Dunham and fun activities in the Kids’ Corner, sponsored by Mini Batch Bakery. More than 45 local vendors will be on hand, ready to bring you the very best our area has to offer.
A SNAP/EBT retailer, the market matches purchases dollar-for-dollar through the Double Up Food Bucks program. Shoppers can swipe their EBT cards at the information booth and use tokens to buy eligible goods, thanks to support from local sponsors and the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project’s Double Up NC Grant. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

The celebration marks the completion of the $4.2 million streetscape project, which included major underground utility improvements, sidewalks, brick-paver crosswalks, landscape plantings.
