ECCO hosts events for parents of visually and hearing impaired kids
The Team ECCO Ocean Center and Aquarium in Hendersonville will hold a fun and informative parent night on April 23 at 6 pm for parents of Hearing Impaired and Visually Impaired students.
Henderson County teachers of the hearing Impaired and/or visually impaired will be at the event. Dinner will be provided at no cost to the parent. Please call 828.388.1294 by Monday, April 22, to give the number of people planning to attend the event.
Marilyn Edwards from the Department of Health and Human Services will give a presentation about free services available for children. Spanish interpreting services will be provided.
Parents can mingle and meet parents of other hearing and visually impaired students. Students will be able to meet each other in a fun environment. The Team ECCO Ocean Center and Aquarium has fish tanks, a new turtle exhibit, and much more. More information about Team ECCO is available at http://www.teamecco.org.
