The Hendersonville High School Class of 2013 presents the musical comedy "Hairspray" this weekend in the traditional senior play.
Starring Paul Brooks as Corny Collins, Natosha Ash as Motormouth Maybelle, Lydia Congdon as Penny Pingleton, Page Nevel as Prudy Pingleton, Elizabeth Lackey as Velma Von Tussle, Margaret Butler as Amber Von Tussle, Zoe Holmes as Tracy Turnblad, Riley Case as Wilbur Turnblad and Kaleb Shuler as Edna Turnblad, the show features the usual large ensemble cast and a pit orchestra, this year playing in the balcony instead of on the floor as it has in the past.
Directed by Todd Weakley with choreography by Laura Roper, "Hairspray" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday (May 2-4) at the HHS auditorium. Tickets, $12 reserved and $10 general admission, are available at the HHS office.
