The Salvation Army in Hendersonville has made an appeal for survivors of the deadly tornado that ravaged Moore, Okla.Capt. Christopher Thornhill, local Salvation Army commander, has received reports of the Salvation Army's immediate response to the area providing service to the survivors and to rescue workers.. "The Hendersonvillel unit of The Salvation Army is on standby and will respond with disaster personnel when requested," Thornhill said.

Contributions may also be sent locally to The Salvation Army, PO Box 2387, Hendersonville, NC 28793. Clothing and other gifts-in-kind are not being requested at this time.
