The Green Room Cafe and Coffeehouse is celebrating its first year anniversary by thanking its customers and friends.
Free gift certificates and samples of lunch, dinner and dessert items will be given away during the anniversary celebration on Friday, Nov. 22.
Festivities begin with a Henderson County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Lunch and drink specials will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner specials begin at 5:30 p.m. The first 12 customers will receive a free glass of wine with their dinner entree.
Local musician Jeff Michels will perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, and Elise Pratt and Mike Holstein will perform jazz on Nov. 23.
The Green Room Cafe and Coffeehouse is at 536 N. Main Street. It specializes in artisan crafted sandwiches and dinner entrees, breakfast and baked treats. It offers premium beer and wine, Fair Trade locally roasted primo espresso and coffees and an assortment of loose-leaf teas. The cafe also offers gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.
The Green Room has new winter menus and hours and extended wine and beer selections. The cafe now serves lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. seven days a week, breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Live dinner music is performed every Friday and Saturday night.
