Village opens bids for park work

FLAT ROCK — Pace Construction and Engineering submitted the low bid for removing two buildings at the Park at Flat Rock, the new park at the former Highland Lake golf course property.

Pace bid $7,036 for the job of clearing the old Course Doctors office and a cart barn. Six bidders responded. The high bid was $25,900, submitted by Copes Demolition. Other bidders were Zack King Construction, $8,250; Allison Contractors, $8,300; Trace & Co. Inc. $11,641; and D.H. Griffin Wrecking Co. $12,900.
The Village Council is expected to consider action on a contract at a meeting on Friday.
