Curtis Ray Hardy
A man hiding in a basement in East Flat Rock was arrested by Henderson County sheriff's deputies and charged with multiple theft counts on warrants from Moore County in the Piedmont.
Curtis Ray Hardy, 32, of Cameron, near Pinehurst, was arrested on charges related to a break-in of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Moore County. Hardy was arrested around 5 p.m. Wednesday after warrant squad deputies found him hiding in a basement in the East Flat Rock.
Hardy is charged in Moore County with burglary of the church, safe cracking, larceny and possession of stolen goods. He is also charged with making a forged endorsement and one count of forgery. Hardy was jailed in Henderson County under a $23,000 bond.
