Sex offender arrested for being on school grounds

Henderson County sheriff's deputies arrested a 24-year-old local women on one count of using a social media website as a sex offender after investigators discovered she was using a social media website under a false name.

Brittani Ann Paris was also charged with being a registered sex offender on child premises after Paris was recognized in a vehicle picking up her girlfriend's child at a local elementary school. Paris had been recognized as a registered sex offender by the principal and sent a letter in February advising her by law she was not allowed on the school premises and to not come back. On March 11, officers received a call from school officials stating that Paris was back on campus as a passenger in a vehicle picking up a child. Officers immediately responded to the area and found Paris in the vehicle that school officials reported. Warrants were obtained and Paris arrested without incident. She was released on a $10,000 bond.
