Breaking and entering arrest made in Henderson County

Vernon Grant Case, 52, of Lamplighter Lane, East Flat Rock, has been charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny pursuant to breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

Henderson County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a reported breaking and entering in progress at approximately 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at 1802 Kanuga Road. Deputies responding to the call encountered a man exiting the side of the garage carrying a weedeater and cordless drill. When confronted by officers the man dropped the items and fled on foot. Officers caught Case in the backyard of the residence and placed him under arrest.

Case was incarcerated in the Henderson County jail under an $11,500 bond.
