The Henderson County Republican Party announced its endorsements in non-partisan offices in the general election.
In concert with the North Carolina Republican Party, the local GOP encouraged voters to select the following nine judicial candidates (listed in the order they will appear on the ballot): Mark Martin, Bob Hunter, Eric Levinson, Mike Robinson, John M.Tyson, Bill Southern, Donna Stroud, Paul Holcombe, and Mark E. Powell.
For School Board the party endorsed Colby Coren.
"As we saw in Josh Houston in 2012, we believe that Colby Coren is the very kind of change agent this school board desperately needs," the GOP news release said.
The party lists the endorsed candidates on its website, www.hendersoncountygop.com, and has information at party headquarters, 1411 Asheville Highway in Hendersonville, open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
