Motorist airlifted after school bus crash

A driver was flown to Mission Hospital after she crashed into a school bus Tuesday morning at Asheville Highway and Ferenvilla Drive, WLOS reported.

The accident at 7:30 a.m. injured the driver, Chele Whalen, after she drove into one of two stopped school buses, which were headed to West Henderson High and Rugby middle. Three out of the 20 students on board the bus complained of minor injuries, but did not require treatment, the report said. Read more here:
