Dance to the music of Dashboard Blue Friday

Friday’s Music on Main Street concert will feature the Asheville-based Dashboard Blue. The Hendersonville Antique Car Club will showcase vintage and antique automobiles on Main Street between Allen and Caswell streets.

The Music On Main Street concert series on Friday, June 22, features the five piece band Dashboard Blue.


Dashboard Blue is based in Asheville. The group's repertoire includes songs such as "Brown Eyed Girl," "Stand by Me," "Drive My Car," "My Girl," "Rock Around the Clock," and "I Love Beach Music." The members that make up the band are Rex Cutshall, Thomas Mitchell, Frank Saine, George Schuler, and Will Springer .

 

The Hendersonville Antique Car Club will be showcasing its vintage and antique cars. The club members have a love of automobiles and strive to preserve the history through the restoration of these classic cars. The car show is located in front of the Visitors Information Center, between Allen and Caswell streets, which will be closed to traffic. The 14th Annual Music On Main Street concert series will be held every Friday evening through Aug. 17 at the Visitors Information Center, 201 S. Main St. in Historic Downtown Hendersonville. Bring a chair and sit back, relax and enjoy the music from 7 to 9 p.m. Seating area opens after 5:30 p.m., early admission is strictly prohibited. Hendersonville city ordinance prohibits animals in the event area. No alcoholic beverages or coolers allowed. Admission is free.

In case of inclement weather the concert will be postponed until 8 p.m.; if the weather does not improve, the performance will be cancelled.
