The Flat Rock Playhouse kicks off its 2015 Music on the Rock season on Feb. 12 with the popular tribute "The Music of ABBA" at the Playhouse Downtown.
Running for just five performances Feb. 12-15, the show stars Dustin Brayley, Erin Mosher and Beth Kuhn backed up by the Flat Rock Chorus, a 32-member vocal ensemble of local singers led by Diane David. Audiences are guaranteed to be dancing in the aisles while Music on the Rock singers and musicians serve up hit after hit from The Music of ABBA, the most requested concert in the Music on the Rock series.
Featuring such hits as "Take a Chance," "Voulez Vous," "Fernando," "Mamma Mia," "Waterloo" and "The Winner Takes it All," the cast is made up of Brayley, in his 13th Music on the Rock appearance; Erin Mosher, fresh off a performance in the acclaimed Off Broadway hit Soul Doctor; and Beth Kuhn, who has appeared in the Flat Rock Playhouse productions of Boeing Boeing, A Christmas Carol, Nunsense and Shout.
The Music Director for The Music of ABBA is Michael Sebastian, who supervised the music for Playhouse productions of My Fair Lady, Miss Saigon and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Previously at Flat Rock, Michael has also served as music director for Zelda, Evita and Les Miserables. Band members Sebastian (music director and keys), Bill Altman (lead guitar), Paul Babelay (drums) and Charles Holland (bass).
