Deputies charge merchant with selling counterfeit goods

Following a tip that counterfeit goods were being sold, detectives from the Henderson County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division along with state and federal agents went to Zima Wireless at 1726 Old Spartanburg Road in Hendersonville.

After locating approximately $9490 worth of counterfeit goods, the officers arrested the business's owner, Gelacio Munoz Trejo, 41. The counterfeit goods displayed the insignias of Adidas, Otterbox, Club America and Apple. Trejo had been warned a year ago by state and federal authorities to discontinue these business practices, the sheriff's office said. Trejo, of Maple Village Drive #10, in Hendersonville, was charged with one felony count of Criminal Use of a Counterfeit Trademark and is currently incarcerated in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $10,000 secured bond.
