Man charged in Easy Street stabbing

A 19-year-old man was transferred to Mission Hospital in Asheville after suffering stab wounds Tuesday night at a residence at 1213 Easy St. in Hendersonville, the Henderson County Sheriff's Office said.

On Tuesday, Jan. 12, deputies were notified that a stabbing victim was being treated at the emergency room of Park Ridge Hospital. The victim was immediately transferred to Mission Hospital in Asheville for injuries reported as possible life threatening.

Further investigation led deputies to arrest Roland Vontana McMahan, 23, of the Easy Street address. The investigation continues and McMahan is currently jailed under a $40,000 secured bond.
