The Hendersonville High School Class of 2016 will perform Mary Poppins as their final goodbye Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the HHS Auditorium.
A beloved musical set in 1910 London, the story follows the adventures of the Banks family and a magical nanny, Mary Poppins. Tensions are high when Mary enters the family dynamic but with a spoonful of sugar, Mary’s magical touch opens eyes and hearts to the beauty all around.
For nearly a century, seniors at Hendersonville High School have concluded their high school career with the Senior Play, an opportunity to bond as a class, create a memory that will last a lifetime and leave a final mark on HHS.
“I’m super excited, because we have a great cast!” said senior Catherine Anderson, a cast member. “The show has wonderful songs and dances. Plus, we have a bunch of surprises in store.”
The show is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets are $10 general admission and $12 reserved. They can be purchased during school hours at the school office, on 1 Bearcat Blvd., Hendersonville, N.C. 28791. For information call 828-697-4802.
