East Henderson High School’s head baseball coach, Sam Perry, resigned to take a position in Georgia after leading the Eagle baseball program for the past two years.
Administrators at East Henderson thanked Coach Perry for his hard work and dedication to the school and its baseball program.
“During my years at East Henderson I have been blessed with tremendous administrative and community support in promoting the baseball program,” Perry said. “The relationships and memories I’ve made as an Eagle will last a lifetime. I am very confident that East Henderson baseball will continue to move in the right direction and I'm excited for the future of the organization.”
“Henderson County Public Schools gave me an incredible opportunity to influence students and athletes, and I will be forever grateful,” he said. “I have recently accepted a wonderful career opportunity in Athens, Ga., but will remember Hendersonville as a phenomenal place. Thank you to everyone who supported us at East Henderson.”
