Townsend joins Lightning as reporter

Natasha Townsend, a 2015 graduate of Hendersonville High School and rising junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has joined the Hendersonville Lightning as a summer correspondent.

A double major in journalism and psychology, Townsend plays recreational tennis at UNC, is part of an undergraduate research team in the clinical psychology program and enjoys reporting classes in the School of Media and Journalism.
After undergraduate school, she is planning on attending graduate school. Her goal is to have a career that combines her passions for journalism and psychology. As a Lightning reporter, Townsend is covering schools, town government and general assignment.
She is the daughter of Tracy Graham and William Townsend and has a sister, Juliet. Townsend.
