Pool vandals ordered to serve 145 hours of service

Three juveniles charged in the May break-in and vandalism of Patton Pool have all entered guilty pleas in Juvenile Court, the city of Hendersonville said in a news release. The court ordered the juveniles to pay restitution and sentenced them to 145 hours of community service, the city said.

Because of the age of the individuals involved, the city is not at liberty to disclose their identities.
As a result of the sentences handed down, the City may receive restitution of up to $1200 for damages incurred. In addition, the convicted juveniles have each been sentenced to serve 145 hours of community service.

If the juveniles work eight hours every Saturday, their service would be completed in mid-January of next year. The City will petition the office in charge of overseeing the community service to have as much of that time as possible allocated to the City Public Works department, so the service hours can be served to the benefit of Hendersonville citizens.
