Bankers to pour brews at SAB for a good cause

Bankers will be tending bar for a good cause next week at Southern Appalachian Brewery.

The taproom is opening on Tuesday night, a day it's usually closed, for the benefit for the Henderson County Boys and Girls Club. Steve Gwaltney and Nicola Barksdal, of First Citizens Bank, both members of the Boys & Girls Club board of directors, will be pouring SAB's Copperhead, IPA, Wild Blonde sour and other brews. All tips and 10 percent of sales go to the youth club.

"It’s important to note that the Club is not putting on this event," Gwaltney said. "This is a board-led fundraiser at the invitation of Southern Appalachian Brewery."
