Nominations open for Apple Farmer of the Year

United Community Bank is accepting nominations for Apple Farmer of the Year, the annual award presented at the opening ceremony of the North Carolina Apple Festival to a grower who has made significant contributions to the apple industry.

Nominators may pick up a form at United Community Bank at 2520 Chimney Rock Road or request one by emailing fair_waggoner@ucbi.com or karen_yockey@ucbi.com. The deadline is Aug. 3.
