Bicyclists from across the region will be zipping around a tight urban course in the third annual Historic Seventh Avenue Criterium from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
The final race of the Hincapie Greenville Springs Series, the event will result in street closures beginning at 7 a.m. Streets closed to create the racing loop are Locust Street between Seventh Avenue and Lynn Street, Lynn Street between Locust and Maple. Maple between Lynn and Seventh; and Seventh between Maple and Locust. These roads will be closed until 6 p.m.
Hosted by South Appalachian Brewing Co., which is the start-finish, the event also features the Stipe Brothers, Dan Ruiz and Joel Callahan performing a special St. Paddy's show following the final race. The tasting oom opens at 11 a.m.
