FLETCHER — Fletcher Mayor Rod Whiteside wants adults to join him in board games.
Whiteside announced the first Mayor’s Game Challenge for Grown-Ups will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Town Hall.
“Kids shouldn’t be the only ones who get to have fun playing games," Whiteside said, adding that he always enjoys playing group games such as Pictionary and wanted to share the entertaining experience with the community.
The event is open to all interested individuals regardless of address or game-playing aptitude. Bring your competitive spirit and take a chance at being crowned the Game Challenge champion. The Game Challenge will be held in the 3rd-floor multi-purpose room at Fletcher Town Hall. If participants have children, an activity table for youngsters will be available.
Please RSVP by email (r.whiteside@fletchernc.org) or through the Facebook calendar.
