DOT announces road work for 2012-13

The state DOT will spend $1.62 million paving dirt roads and stabilizing others in Henderson County over the next year, engineers told the Board of Commissioners on Sept. 19.
Here are the scheduled projects in the secondary road improvement program:

  • Tracy Grove Road, utility relocations, $2,785.
  • Foster Creek Road, paving, SR 1345 to end of street, 1 mile, $450,000.
  • Lanning Road, paving, SR 1574 to 1582, .25 mile, $100,000.
  • Lake Falls, asphalt surface treatment (AST), SR 1123 to end of pavement, .2 mile, $8,000.
  • Middleton Road, asphalt surface treatment, SR 1123 to end of pavement, .3 mile, $10,000.
  • H.S. Dalton Road, asphalt surface treatment, SR 1191 to end of pavement, .3 mile, $10,000.
  • Brentwood Drive, asphalt surface treatment, SR 1185 to SR 1185, .24 mile, $8,000.
  • Maplewood Drive, asphalt surface treatment, SR 1205 to dead end, .18 mile, $6,000.
  • Green River Drive, asphalt surface treatment, SR 1891 to dead end, .28 mile, $11,500.
  • Pacolet Street, asphalt surface treatment, Greenville Street to dead end, .3 mile, $6,000.
  • Feagon Street, asphalt surface treatment, SR 1525 to dead end, .13 mile, $4,500.
  • Barnette Street, asphalt surface treatment, SR 1807 to dead end, .14 mile, $5,000.
  • Larry McDonald Memorial Drive, asphalt surface treatment, SR 1191 to SR 2164, .06 mile, $2,000.
  • Larry McDonald Memorial Drive, asphalt surface treatment, cul de sac to cul de sac, .28 mile, $9,000.
  • Mills River VFD parking lot paving, Fanning Fields Road station, $25,000.
  • Signage, countywide, $28,121.
