The Community Foundation of Henderson County has established the temporary Main Street Enhancement Fund to support the public art work planned for downtown.
Part of the work authorized by the Hendersonville City Council includes the construction of a Public Art Fountain as well as an Entry Gateway to the 500 and 600 blocks of Main Street.
"On numerous occasions, we have heard people comment about the beauty and draw that the Main Street corridor has for locals and newcomers to the area. Through this fund, interested donors have the perfect opportunity to make a lasting impression on the beautification and enhancement of the main downtown corridor," the Community Foundation said in a news release.
Anyone can make a contribution to support the effort. All contributions are fully tax deductible to the extent provided by law. To make your donation, mail a check to the Community Foundation of Henderson County, PO Box 1108, Hendersonville, NC 28793 referencing Main Street Fund or visit the website to make a secure online donation www.CFHCforever.org. Go to Search the Family of Funds, type in the Fund ID: MNST and proceed from there.
