Although sometimes a man of few words, his wisdom surpassed that of many. He was blessed with the gift of a compassionate heart. He never missed a chance to help anyone who needed anything or for the chance to spend time with his grandbabies. He was a true example of what unconditional love really is. You knew that no matter who you were or what choices you made in life, he would never stop loving you. He was a father, Papaw, friend and mentor.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8.
