Glenda Shirley Hanna, 91

Glenda Shirley Hanna, 91, died on Monday, April 6, 2015 at The Lodge of Mills River. She is preceded in death by her parents: Reverend Herbert Raymond Rolfe and Shirley Louise Stevens and her loving husband James “Ray” Hanna.
Glenda was born in Brunswick, Maine on July 1, 1923. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Massachusetts and her Master’s at Loma Linda University in CA. She served as a Seventh Day Adventist Missionary Nurse in exotic places such as Taiwan, Singapore and Puerto Rico. She was in charge of Schools of Nursing most of her 25 years in the Far East. She also worked in Massachusetts and Florida in nursing during and after her undergraduate studies. Glenda retired in 1985 and moved to Henderson County where she became a member of the Fletcher Seventh Day Adventist Church and served as volunteer at their community and at Park Ridge Hospital. In 1995, she met and married Ray in 1995 and they resided at Fletcher Park Inn. Glenda was dedicated to the Lord from her early childhood and served Him all the days of her life.
She is survived by her cousin, Robin Bair in Apopka, FL. She leaves behind many friends from the area as well as around the world.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30PM on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 at Fletcher Park Inn with Pastor Evan Blake officiating.
