David Stevenson Walker, Sr., 69

David Stevenson Walker, Sr., 69, of Hendersonville passed away on Thursday, April 30. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Itasco Walker and Annie Lowdermilk Walker.

He was born in the Dysartsville community of Burke County, NC, and moved to Hendersonville in 1974. He served as Quality Control Engineer at Borg Warner for 35 years. He was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church, a US Air Force Veteran, and member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sharon Pryor Walker; four children, Alisha Marian Walker, David Stevenson Walker, II and wife Martha, Carson Taylor Walker LeMaster and husband Damian, and Tyler King Walker; grandchildren Riley and Noah Case, Caleb, Lillianna, Cody, Jonas and Weston Walker; One brother, Johnny Walker and wife Georgia, one sister, Grace Looper and husband Mitch.

Funeral services will be held at Mud Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be held at Lanning-Pittillo Cemetery. Graveside Military Honors will be conducted by the Henderson County Honor Guard.
