Veritas names new basketball coach

Trip Cogburn, a former assistant coach at UNC Asheville and Mars Hill College, has been named men's varsity basketball coach at Veritas Christian Academy in Fletcher.This is the first high school coaching job for Cogburn, a 2002 graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill.
Cogburn replaces Joel Johnston as head coach and inherits two starters from last year's 18-11 team.
