TOLEDO, OHIO — Former Hendersonville High School soccer standout Ahmad Jarrar, now playing at Owens Community College in Toledo, has been named the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) men's soccer player of the week.
The award was for the week ending Oct. 13.
Jarrar scored two goals in a 3-2 win over OCCAC foe Lakeland Community College on Oct. 9. With his team down 1-0 in the second half, he scored the game tying and go-ahead goals to put his team up 2-1.
Jarrar, who didn't score a goal this year until the team's fifth game, has came on of late with five goals in the past four games. He has nine goals and four assists this year, including six goals and three assists in OCCAC play.
