Community Tennis Association awards scholarships

Ashton Tan and Kennedy-Claire Boline won scholarships from the Community Tennis Association of Henderson County.

The Community Tennis Association of Henderson County awarded two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors involved in their school tennis programs.

This year’s recipients are Ashton Tan (left) and Kennedy-Claire Boline (right). Ashton graduated from North Henderson High School, where he was active on the varsity tennis team. He will be attending UNC Greensboro and majoring in nursing. Kennedy, a graduate of West Henderson High School, played on the Falcon varsity tennis team. She will be attending Baylor University in the fall where she will be majoring in finance and pre-law. Both plan to continue their interest in tennis.
