Pardee honors pharmacy tech as teammate of the month

Stephanie Heatherly, pharmacy technician with the Pardee Outpatient Pharmacy, has been named the health care provider's Teammate of the Month, UNC Health Pardee announced.

At the outpatient pharmacy, Healtherly assists in the prescription filling process, delivers medications to discharging patients, ensures medication availability by ordering and receiving drugs and supplies and maintains pharmacy cleanliness and organization. “We have so many hard-working and caring people that provide great health care for our community,” she said.

“Stephanie is an absolute joy and possibly the most caring person I have worked with," a coworker said. "She is always willing to help when we need it and always goes the extra mile for patient care.”

Staff, coworkers and patients benefit from Heatherly's actions as they can be confident they will be taken care of.

The Teammate of the Month is given to a person selected by a committee of their peers and recognized for going above and beyond their regular duties to support patients, customers, peers, the organization and its community. The Teammate of the Month award showcases the many different roles of keeping a health system, like Pardee, operating and delivering patient-centered, quality care.
