More than 125 employers and resource providers will be participating in the Hearts & Hires Job & Resource Fair 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the WNC Agricultural Center’s Expo Building, 761 Boylston Highway, Fletcher.
Graham Fields, chair of the Mountain Area Workforce Development Board and assistant to the president with AdventHealth Hendersonville, will welcome exhibitors and express appreciation for the work of WNC’s first responders, resource providers, organizations and individuals who have worked tirelessly to meet the many needs of our businesses and citizens.
The job fair is intended to provide new opportunities for dislocated workers impacted by Helene, the underemployed, as well as others searching for a new career. Registered employers from Healthcare, Manufacturing, Construction/Skilled Trades, Hospitality & Tourism, Public Safety, Education, Staffing, Transportation, Retail, Banking, Technology, Local Government, Automotive and Small Business will be represented.
In addition, resource providers in attendance include FEMA, GO PLACES, Safelight, Inspire, ABCCM Veteran Services, Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC, OnTrack Financial, All Souls Counseling and Pisgah Legal Services. The NCWorks Mobile Unit will be on site with NCWorks staff to support career services including resume preparation as well as staff from the NC Division of Employment Security to assist with unemployment claims. The public is invited and everyone is welcome.
