Badcock Furniture & More set to open next week

Badcock store will be open Monday through Saturday.

Badcock Furniture and More is set to open in the old Grocery Outlet location on South Main Street on June 27.

Store hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Operating 314 stores across the South, Badcock sells furniture, appliances, electronics and lawn and garden supplies — "just about anything you need for your home," said district manager Sheryl Smith. The store manager is Ernie Paris.

The owner of the property is Stuart Rubin, of Hendersonville and Miami Beach. Contractors reroofed the building, renovated the interior and upgraded the restrooms. The 18,653-square-foot building, built in 1953, housed a Winn-Dixie and the GO store, which moved to Four Seasons Boulevard. The property is assessed for tax purposes at $1.46 million.
