Candidates for GOP invited to speak at Men's Club

Candidates for chair of the Henderson County Republican Party are invited to speak at a meeting of the Republican Men’s Club at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at American Legion Post 77, 216 Fourth Ave. W.

Announced candidates so far are Greg Beam and Chelsea Walsh. Anyone wishing to run for GOP chair is invited to attend and will be given an equal opportunity to speak at the meeting, the club said. A breakfast buffet is available for $13 cash payable at the door. Reservations are required. Email noirs@aol.com no later than noon Monday, March 3, or call 828-329-4971. All registered Republicans are invited to attend. Membership is $30 for men and $15 for women. Party members who plan to attend the GOP County Convention on March 29 must register as a delegate at hcgopnc.org.
