Edneyville Troop 605 barbecue is Saturday

The 16th annual barbecue for Edneyville Troop 605 at Puncheon Creek Camp off Clear Creek Road will be held 3-7 p.m. this Saturday.

The menu is pork barbecue or chicken, baked beans, baked potato, slaw and roll, plus iced tea, lemonade, soft drinks and coffee and homemade desserts. Tickets prices (advance and at the gate) are, children 6 to 12, $5 and $6; adults, $10, $11; and family ticket for up to 5 people, $30, $35. Kids 5 and under eat free.
The event, at Bub Hyder's western town replica, features bluegrass, gospel and old-time bands in the barn.
Tickets are available from Troop 605 Boy Scouts and at the Hendersonville Lightning office (1111 Asheville Highway, across from Walgreen's) and Mug & Brush barbershop on Kanuga Road at Busy Bend.
