Pinecrest honoring veterans on Sunday

FLAT ROCK — Pinecrest Presbyterian Church will hold its annual patriotic Independence Day worship service on Sunday, June 30, at 10:55 a.m.

The service will be led by Senior Pastor Rhett Carson and feature a sermon by Col. Doug Jones, East Henderson High School Air Force JROTC cadets posting the colors and exhibiting the flag folding ceremony, patriotic music including the national anthem and "God Bless America," unfurling of the large "Vince Colan" American flag and the closing with "Taps."
After the service apple pie and ice cream will be served in Evans Hall. The public is cordially invited to join us in worshipping God, honoring our country's birthday and Christian fellowship. All veterans are encouraged to wear their uniforms.
