Free yoga class, information on safe ways to exercise, a kids trail dedication and more are on tap when the Flat Rock Park and Recreation Foundation and Pardee UNC Health Care kick off the 2021 season with a “Welcome to Spring” program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24.
Here's the schedule:
For 2021, there are more than 31 weeks and 62 free classes on the calendar! From the kickoff through Oct. 30, free yoga classes hosted by YAM Hendersonville will take place 10-11 a.m. Saturday and 5:50-6:30 p.m. Thursday. The fourth Saturday of each month is a “themed” day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Topics include Women’s Health, Sports, Back to School, Fall Fun and more.
Launched in 2019, “Pardee in the Park” brings programs to the public to meet Pardee medical providers, staff, get active and learn more about health and wellness topics. There is no cost for the classes. Due to Covid-19, social distancing and masks will be required.
For more information, contact Tracey Daniels, development director at the Flat Rock Park and Recreation Foundation, at tracey@villageoffflatrock.org and follow The Park’s Facebook page for weekly updates and schedule announcements. All weather announcements will be made via Facebook and alerts will go out for those that preregister using YAM’s MindBody app (found on YAM’s website: https://iamyam.com/).
