A Henderson County sheriff's deputy was honored Wednesday for his life-saving work on a recent call.
Officer Brandon Nicholson Recently, while on routine patrol, responded to a medical emergency call in the Mills River Community that required him to administer CPR to a person suffering cardiac arrest. Because of Officer Nicholson's quick action, this man was able to return home to his family. Nicholson received the Henderson County Sheriff's Office Lifesaving Award.
"It's because of officers like Brandon Nicholson that we can all rest easier knowing that law enforcement is at the ready to solve problems and save lives," Sheriff Lowell S. Griffin said.
