A 28-year-old Georgia man faces a felony charge of soliciting a child through the internet to meet for sex after his arrest by Henderson County sheriff’s detectives.
The detectives with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children team have been investigating Stephen William Wargo of Dallas, Georgia, for several weeks for allegedly soliciting a child through the internet to meet for sex. Detectives arrested Wargo early Saturday morning after he drove to a pre-arranged location in Henderson County, believing he was going to meet a 10-year-old child. Wargo was charged with one felony count of solicitation of child by computer or certain other electronic devices to commit an unlawful sex act and one felony count of possessing obscene literature and exhibitions. He was jailed in the Henderson County Detention Center under a $175,000 secured bond.
