Drive-thru COVID-19 community testing will be offered at the Henderson County Department of Public Health starting Monday.
Henderson County has contracted with Mako Medical to provide drive-thru COVID-19 testing at the Health Department, 1200 Spartanburg Highway. PCR testing will be available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration is strongly encouraged prior to arrival. A registration link will be posted on the Health Department website, www.hendersoncountync.gov/health.
PCR tests will be provided with an anticipated turnaround time of 48 hours for results. Rapid testing will not be offered at this site.
Individuals should enter from Spartanburg Highway and follow signage to the testing site. Insured patients should provide their insurance information on pre-registration. Testing will be provided to uninsured patients at no cost.
Demand for COVID-19 testing remains high. Individuals can order free at-home testing kits through the United States Postal Service at www.COVIDtests.gov. Additional testing resources are available at www.ncdhhs.gov/testingplace.
The COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at the Blue Ridge Mall remains open Tuesdays and Thursdays with new walk-in hours from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available.
