The Asheville Tea Party said it is joining other freedom loving groups across the United States to celebrate the First National Gun Appreciation Day on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Bear Arms Shooting Range in Brevard.
Here is the Asheville Tea Party's news release about the event:
Asheville Tea Party is encouraging everyone to patronize their local gun shops, dealers, ranges, and gun shows on Saturday, January 19th. Asheville Tea Party will be celebrating the 'Day' at Bear Arms Shooting Range beginning at 11 A.M. beararmsbrevard.com. Bear Arms has been our gracious and supportive host of our Machine Gun Socials. Stock up. Practice your shooting. Celebrate our Second Amendment. Your receipt, your Constitution, your flag, and your sign: "Hands Off Our Guns!" are your ticket to a free pizza lunch. We will order at high noon so get there before. We will be there from 11 – 6.
Let's send a message - again- 'the right to bear arms shall not be infringed.' We will defend and support our Second Amendment rights.
Gun free zones are killing zones. We have an inalienable right to defend ourselves and no government has the right to take that away. Jane Bilello, Chair of the Asheville Tea Party/PAC asserted, "The record breaking numbers at gun shows across the country attest to the defiance of the American people to the continued dysfunctional stance of the gun control advocates. Statistics bear out that gun free zones have been invitations to killers to make victims of all of us. The recent tragedy in Sandy Hook is another glaring testament to that. The radical left is targeting the instruments of the killers and not the killers. We will not be shamed or cowed into giving up our Second Amendment rights. Participation in the
National Gun Appreciation Day is one more way to give voice to our opposition to gun control and gun free killing zones.
Because the demand has been so great, Asheville Tea PAC will also be kicking off the Great Gun Give Away Part 2 for a Para TTR and a Sig Sauer hand gun. This time, out of state donations can be taken with donors' compliance with their state gun laws and responsibility of transfer and legal fees. Tickets and flier will be available at Bear Arms and on-line at www.ashevilleteapac.org
