A Saluda man is charged with second-degree murder and a Saluda woman was arrested for accessory after the fact after Henderson County sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of a missing person on Tuesday.
After the sheriff's office received the report that Daniel Case was missing, detectives who conducted numerous interviews determined that there had been foul play involved in the disappearance.
Through subsequent interviews and investigation detectives were able to determine that Case, 47, of Hendersonville, died of a gunshot wound in a remote mountainous area of Henderson County. During the investigation, detectives identified Shane Archie Waters and Cecelia Ann Goodman as suspects in the disappearance and death of Case. Deputies arrested Waters and Goodman without incident. Waters was jailed in the Henderson County Detention facility without bond. Goodman was jailed under a $107,750 bond.
