Two-vehicle crash injures motorists, blocks U.S. 25 southbound lanes

At least two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash around 3 p.m. Wednesday that blocked southbound lanes of Asheville Highway and slowed northbound traffic.

To free the occupants, first responders used saws to cut off the top of a vehicle that came to a rest on its side. Two people were treated at the scene and were being loaded onto ambulances around 3:15 p.m. Report of the crash brought at least 11 law enforcement, fire and EMS vehicles to the scene, which was not expected to be cleared anytime soon. The crash happened just north of the Hendersonville city limits.
