AVL announces holiday music performances

Asheville Regional Airport announced that three school choral groups will perform at the airport during the holidays.

The choirs will perform holiday music for the enjoyment of passengers, visitors and employees.

Here’s the schedule of choral performances:

• Wednesday, Dec.  13: 12:05 p.m. Clyde A. Erwin Combined Choirs
• Friday, Dec.  14: 11:40 a.m.  Smoky Mountain High School Choir
• Wednesday, Dec.  20: 11:30 a.m.  Candler and Pisgah Elementary School Choruses

AVL also announced that five local musicians and one local trio will perform during the Music in the Airport program performing throughout the month. Here’s the schedule of those performances:

• Mike Andersen: Mondays in December at 11 a.m. (except Christmas Day).
• Phil Okrend: Thursday, Dec.  7 at noon, Thursday, Dec.  14 at 12:15 p.m., Thursday, Dec.  21 at noon, Thursday, Dec.  28 at noon.
• Bill Cozzens-Bryant: Wednesday, Dec.  6 at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec.  13 at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, Dec.  20 at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Dec.  27 at 10:30 a.m.  
• Mari Hashimoto: Tuesday, Dec.  12 at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec.  26 at 11 a.m. 
• Jack Victor: Thursday, Dec.  14 at 9:30 a.m.
• Industrial Coffee Pot: Sunday, Dec.  10 at 10 a.m.
