Pardee Sports Medicine administering physicals for prep sports

Pardee Sports Medicine once again will administer sports physicals for local student-athletes who attend 19 middle and high schools in the surrounding area, UNC Health Pardee announced.

All physicals will take place May 7-29 in the respective high school gymnasiums. To play school sports, all student-athletes are required by state law to receive an annual physical each academic year for health and safety reasons.

Registration forms for the athletes’ physicals are available from respective team coaches or school front offices. Each student-athlete who plans on receiving a sports physical on the scheduled day must bring a completed registration form with the parent's signature. The cost per child varies depending on each school administration, and parents will be informed via the schools’ respective websites, newsletters, or email. Each physical will be administered by a certified health provider, and schools will ensure there is privacy for students during each physical exam. • Apple Valley Middle School: Tuesday, May 7 at 3:30 p.m. at the North Henderson High gym (35 Fruitland Rd in Hendersonville)
• East Henderson High School: Tuesday, May 14 at 1:30 p.m. at East Henderson High gym (150 Eagle Pride Drive in East Flat Rock)
• Flat Rock Middle School: Tuesday, May 14 at 3:30 p.m. at East Henderson High Gym (150 Eagle Pride Drive in East Flat Rock)
• Hendersonville High School: Wednesday, May 8 at 1:30 p.m. at Hendersonville High Gym (1 Bearcat Blvd in Hendersonville)
• Hendersonville Middle School: Wednesday, May 8 at 3 p.m. at Hendersonville High Gym (1 Bearcat Blvd in Hendersonville)
