ETOWAH — The Cummings Cove golf community could expand by 76 homes if the Henderson County Planning Board OKs a newly revised master plan developers submitted.
Combining phase 6 and phase 8 from the previously approved master plan, Cummings Cove Investment and Vista Developers have filed a new plan for homes on 54 acres starting with 11 single-family lots on five acres on Tomahawk Trail. Two more development phases would follow, the investors said in a filing with the county.
The plan meets the county’s subdivision standards, a staff report said, and goes to the Planning Board on Sept. 19 with a recommendation for approval.
Developed in 1984 with 41 homes originally, Cummings Cove has grown through a series of development phases over the years. A master plan approved by the county in 1994 showed 205 lots on 550 acres. A 2018 master plan revision for phase 9 showed plans for 28 duplexes and triplexes. The development is served by Hendersonville city water and the subdivision’s private community wastewater system.
The Planning Board takes up the request at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the county office building, 100 N. King St.
