Delta Air Lines is growing again at Asheville Regional Airport, adding nonstop service to Boston starting next spring.
Flights to Boston Logan International Airport beginning May 10 will operate on Saturdays and Sundays, departing AVL at noon and landing at 1:45 p.m. Return flights depart BOS at 9 a.m. and touch down at AVL at 11:15 a.m. All flights will operate on Embraer ERJ-175 aircraft, with a 70-seat, dual-class service configuration.
With the addition of BOS, Delta now serves four nonstop markets from Asheville: Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), New York/LaGuardia (LGA) and Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP).
“Boston is a very popular destination for travelers in our area, and conversely, Asheville is a desired place for Bostonians to visit,” AVL President and CEO Lew Bleiweis said. “And a bonus is that Delta’s Boston service provides excellent connectivity — both domestically and internationally. I thank Delta for their decades-long commitment to our region, and this addition to their flight offerings is very exciting.”
